Kl,
Actually the scan quality kind of adds to the starkness of the photo. It doesn't detract from the lonely, "left behind in another era" mood that you have created. I was going to comment on yesterday's post in much the same way.
There is nothing more lonely than an empty, unused Drive-in.

Nothing like an empty Drive-In to provoke a fresh stream of thoughts...Infrared is very appropriate here,adding depth to the mood...

The image brought back memories of "The Last Picture Show".. even though it was not about a drive-in, the film was shot in a grainy B&W.
