Hi Andre,
nice idea to upload the color version as well. this looks more than a modern version which is quite an attractive alternative.
best wishes, Thilo

Hi Sam, Although I didn't mention it in my previous comment on this shot, I did wonder about the B&W conversion. It's definitely less sedate, but i think that also fits with the rather agressive lines of the corvette, and it's design that just screams "pure power under the hood". Also the touch of red adds to the appeal. (Having said that, I didn't mention the B&W, as the tonal range in that one was probably better balanced, and the reflection of the blue sky in this one seems a bit odd at first)
I agree with you that moving the horizontal rear of the car to the left, you would loose too much of its front. The choice of using a different alignment is a good one, though. Without it, it would probably be more of an arrangement of individual shots.
Nice work, and thanks for showing the differences...:)
Cheers,
Hugo

Thilo,
I think a lot of the success is due to lots of red and black in the image. Those two colours go so well together in photography. I was trying your suggestion of incorperating a thin line in the border. I think it worked very well in this case because of the 80's subject matter. All the cars had pin stripes in those days, so it matches pretty well.

Thanks Hugo,
I thought the vertical image added some missing balance as well. I may have overdone it slightly on the levelling to try and get rid of the glare from the sun. That could account for the "odd blue" tinge in the reflection area. It didn't bother me too much though. Over-all I'm pretty pleased with it.
ps where did "Sam" come from?
