I like the tight crop and good level of detail and colour Shirley. Not sure if it was possible but I would add a bit more DoF - especially on the beak. Otherwise a beautiful image. From my side - welcome to Usefilm. Im sure you will find enough here to get the creative juices flowing (and please dont believe Tjaart outright when he talks about me!). Thank you for comments Joggie. That's exactly what I was hoping for on this site - have been very fond of photography for ever but lack the finer technical knowledge. I'm a bit of an 'auto mode' junkie and need to know more re manual settings etc. I also do not use Photoshop etc. (yet), what you see here is what you get....

Welcome to UF. I've been here for a little over 5 months and have learned a lot. One problem is, it can get very time consuming wanting to come and look at the new postings, etc.
This is a wonderful shot of this seriuos looking guy.
