About I seem to vaguely remember my mother calling these flowers "convolvulus" or some name rather like that. She didn't like them very much, despite their good looks. She said they sucked the life out of other plants... I was taken by the rather different colours of these two flowers from the same plant. Lovely shades of blue...

I think they're morning glories..very pretty flowers and once they start growing, become very vigorous and will cover almost anything they come in contract with. They grow on vines, and in beautiful shades of blue. I've tried to grow some with seeds but haven't had any luck yet. These are beautiful and I don't think I've ever seen any with the white edges.

The color combination is exciting and the central placement in this almost square image works well for me.

Hi Roger, Very lovely Floral. I love the way that the greens boost the beautiful Blue's you have captured.
Congrats on this wonderful up load and thank you for sharing.
Best regards

Beautiful Roger! (But you'd better listen to Mom, you know they're right most of the time!)

I?m crazy with blue flowers. :-)
I have some shots of the same kind, and not like your mother, I loved this flower, and the form of a star on its petals makes it so beautiful. I think... )
Congratulations on these beautiful samples.

Márcia

PS: I have some shots of them in my portfolio, if you want to take a look.

Thanks, Ellen. Having added macros to the range of things I can sometimes pull off, I think it's time to move on to telephoto shots and portraits. They're real blind spots, like macros used to be. Adding a new genre is so much fun! I was stuck in wide-angle landscapes/cityscapes for SO long...

Ellen Smith   {K:14418} 8/19/2005
Portraits oh golly you're on you own Roger. lol
And as far as zooms hahaha I use my zoom lens to take macros. You can be across town and take a macro. It's hard to get my mind around that one but it's sure fun.
