This is a wonderful capture. The angle and the lighting are both terrific. What ISO did you use? I'll bet a higher setting would have helped the exposure. But you already did a great job holding most of that bright highlight.

The dark surroundings bring a sense of mystery to this scene. I would not change anything.

As a suggestion for an alternate crop producing a different look, it might be interesting to crop the person on the right much tighter, including his profile, the arm being tatooed, the hand of the tatoo artist, and the bright lamp... Anyway, just a thought that crossed my mind... I love this photo just as it is! Congrats!

Thanks for the great comments everyone. Yes I wan't sure if I should have lightened it up, but I thought it was fine the way it is. Mark I understand regards to cropping it, good looking out. Thank you all for the input!!!!!!!!
