About Taken from off the pier at the end of the Tyne, this is looking abck onto the knoll that the Priory sits upon. Amazing how the light and feel of the place changed as the clouds came over and the sea came in.

The sky colour is pretty much natural. That's Whitley Bay in the distance.

A little later this pier was shut - see Alastair bell's shots for the reason why!
