What beautiful colours, Tim. The contrast between the delicate details in the foreground and the impressive breadth of the mountaings in the distance makes for real tension here. A fascinating image. I seldom put your photos in my "favourites" these days--I know I can see many of them just by visiting your portfolio. But I have to have THIS one!

Wow, Tim, you have posted over a dozen images since I was last here. This is another elegant shot. I really like how you darken the sky without the regional imbalance often seen in polarized light. Is this done in camera with an ND grad filter, or is it done in the digital darkroom afterward? If the latter, I would appreciate any advice you might have on how to do that.
Down here in Lethbridge we rarely see completely still water during the day!
This is another area I used to climb. It looks like we tramped the same mountains a few years ago. This weekend my wife and I plan to canoe the Bow upstream of Banff.

I am hiking into suprise lake tomorrow near medicine lake here in jasper....it just snow lots last night though....better bring the gaiters. ha-ha

Well the rain has stopped here today....it has been a wet summer. But tomorrow is going to be sunny! So i am gojng on a hike to Suprise Lake and will hopefully post some great shot s from there..
