About A new butterfly stopped by my garden today. I haven?t seen this type in the yard before so I?m not sure what kind it is. I?m stumped for a title so I just went with the obvious. :)

It looks like a monarch butterfly but I'm no expert. This looks great with the tone, you know I'm a big fan of sepia. Nice clear details and a remarkable composition.

Outstanding and very beautiful work!

Well done! Nice tones good composition. very sharp. I wonder what it would look like with just a hint of color in the butterfly?

L. Gould   {K:11900} 8/17/2005
That's a great idea, Pat. I'll try it and see. :)

Almost looks like you've got a 'buttie magnet' in your garden or what... ;-D??!! Wonderful detailed shot, excellent DOF, crop and composition... well done!!! The sepia is different... great tones, but I'm not too sure... I think this butterfly kind of gets lost in there and would stand out more if in color... but I'm still not sure.... ;-D!!!!

like the result you obtained using sephia tones here - unusual result and I really like it; details are lovely visible;
the only cons is that white round point of light at the bottom of the wing'
anyway, really good work
regards
Lukasz

A lovely photo, Laurie. Great DOF and composition. Nice tones. It looks like a Monarch butterfly by it's markings. If it's black and white it could be a Wanderer. Cheers, Ann.
