I like it. Very moody. Something about the vignetting and the way it sort of stretches things around the edges. Also, that mysterious shiny dark object in the right part of the frame (a car bumper? That's my best guess)

I like it, and I see where you're coming from.
But in a way all the images we take are our personal self portraits because we took them, and seeing each other's images is looking through each others eyes.
It's been said a lot on this sight describing projects, "a shot that only you could take" I think that adds a personal signature which can be viewed as self portrait. Like being able to create a mental picture of someone by just looking at their book collection or DVD collection.
