Great colors Janice.
Liked the way you composed the photo.
The shadows are little bit distracting, what do you think? maybe you intend to have it like this?
Regards.

it's a greta phptyo i admit, i think the lightining is great , but i can see why u framed the dark part in the top left, any way i really like it
best regards

This is very good..great detail in the white and interesting angle
Don

Excellent those whites look great to me, great detail. You can help get rid of the shadows, which don't bother me, by using a reflector. A yard of pellon or just about anything white to bounce the light back will do. I haven't go this down well either but this is what they tell me when I have shadows.

Thanks Mohamed - but after taking another look at the shot, I believe the comments about the shadows are correct - they are a little distracting. This is a learning process for me - and I really appreciate knowing what is liked and dislike about my shots. Jan

Green - After reading your comment and looking at the shot again, I agree with you about the shadows. Now, if I can just remember this for the next time. Thanks for being honest, I really appreciate it. The shadows behind the flowers are not too bad, but the one in the left corner should have been cloned out of there. It sort of frames the flowers - along with the shadows in the bottom right hand corner - but really just misses being a good frame. Jan

My pleasure Janice and thanks in return for accepting the comment. We are all here learning from each other.
Regards.

HI Janice. This is another very pretty one. The shadows amongst the flowers add to the composiotn for me. However, I agree that the left top shadow is not needed. I really like the crisp detail you are getting.
Mary

I agree Mary - several have said the same thing. Went in and got rid of the shadow in that top left corner. What do you think?

Fixed the Shadow

I uploaded this photo without the shadow in response to a comment from Mary. If you check it out, let me know if that one is better. Thx. Jan

Ellen - When I replied to Mary's comment, I attached a cloned version of this photo - see how you like it without the shadow. I thought it was improved.

Ellen Smith   {K:14418} 8/20/2005
Very good, that is much better.

Don Price   {K:1376} 8/20/2005
Yes that is better.... The dark spot pulled your eye right to the shadow.
Don

Mary Brown   {K:68627} 8/20/2005
Much better, Janice. Now we can concentrate on your lovely flowers.
Mary
