The clarity is amazing for such a small bird. I am assuming you could not get too close. The focus of the bird is right on, especially its eye. Del.

Nicely captured image. Well balanced between the green of the tree and blue of the sky. The only suggestion I'd make, and I'm not sure your built in flash would have been strong enough, would be to have fired your flash to try to create a catchlight in his eye to add a touch more life to him.

They never do Dave. It's an inbuilt ability to hide behind foliage when there's a camera within 100 yards. You got a great result here though. One I'd be proud to hae in my portfolio.
