"The ever present benediction of light"..Ansel Adams.........on my monitor it is gorgeous and not too bright...love the porportions of the way you framed shot,Linda...great shimmer on the water and good FG interest...very good sense of depth,too.....nicely seen and captured,my friend!

The lighting is what really makes this image great! I love the warm tones on the right side of the image and the reflection in the water is great. I really like this one and I'm glad you decided to post this! :)

Hi Linda, showed this image to Anna who is an artist and saying, I think I would crop a bit (a third) off top and some of the dark bit at the bottom.......'what's wrong with the dark bit at the bottom' ? was the response.....on second thoughts I agree but when I scrolled down to turn a portrait into a landscape I think it got better....it's a lovely shot, a landscape with atmosphere, I wonder what is on that Island way over, the reflection of the cloud mass makes a lovely pathway all the way over there, the little headland in the foreground gives nice perspective, cheers mate, david.

What a wonderful view and composition, Linda. Love the magical lighting on the island in the foreground. The reflection of the clouds is really dramatize the scene, too. Good capture, congratulations my dear friend.

The warm light reflected on the beach, water and cloud is stunning.
The way you have used the beach on the right of the frame to lead the eye into the scene is a nice compositional touch. The overall darkness of the image also heightens the atmosphere of this photograph. It makes you want to go there like all good landscapes should.
I hope this was not the only picture that you made here.

It is really a nice capture Linda,
But I realized something, I don't think you are using any digital processing software, something like Paint Shop or Photo shop,
Check the attachment, what i've done here is enhancing the clarity by Paint Ship 9 Professional,
It is an option called: One step auto fix,
It adjust the lighting and many other things,
My use is usually more complicated that that, but this is what i've done in here,
These are one the problem with my shots to, they intend to be dark, and i need to photo process them before the upload, check the attachment and let me know what do you think,
