About A 1958 Buick Limited (possible Riviera)
The "rich" kid's dad's all drove something like this back in the late 50's. A very original example, leveled and desaturated in PS.

wow now this is a awesome piece of old detroit. the lines and detail of the trim is beautiful, they really knew how to make them then, and you really know how to capture them now.... well done..

It looks so massive! Beautiful image of this buick Andre! I love it!

Hi Marcus,

Yes, I'm kind of torn between liking these cars for their "Buck Rogers" innocence, and not liking them for the massive amount of waste that went into producing them by the millions. Many of the cars that I have posted lately have this fantasy quality. That is one of the reasons I like to photograph them. They are a statement of the times. They were built and sold under different circumstances.
Gas was cheap and the manufacturers gave every model a major facelift every year.

Darlene,

See my above reply to Marcus. Yes, They are massive, wasteful and wonderful all rolled into one.

Thanks Andre, I didn't leave, was just going through some personal stuff, and was bit turned off from the site, but hopefully I'll be able to participate more, thanks once again!

Hi Fadel,
As long as it wasn't my comments about your dead bird photos that were putting you off :)
Good to have you back!
Andre

Those comments were some of the best I ever got! :)) I actually have a rework for one of those and was going to upload it tomorrow, but just uploaded it for you :)
I just wasn't very happy with some events that happened here, but I owe this place and community a lot so wouldn't leave!
