About I wanted to pull my car over, run out into this field, and lay down among these hay rolls for a snooze....

There serenity of the Northern NY farmland is amazing. The simplicity of the lifestyle is also remarkable.

I know....the sky is completely blown out. I couldn't save it...Golden rule #1: underexposure is easier to correct than overexposure! Hope ya like it.

That sky looks as blown out as a Republican's mind!..LOL..naughty gayle..i know ;> my bro wanted me to move to upstate NY and i briefly looked into it,but WA state has such moderate weather that i am spoiled...i like the perspective showing the FG interest and of course the colors are complementary...love barns and rolling in the hay!...regards,gayle

Juuuuust when I fear you're gonna lose that brilliant sense of humor.....you pull through, again! My mind IS fairly blown out....I listened to NPR (Nat'l Propoganda against Republicans) today..... whew!

Thank you for the kind comments! I could never live back up there (wayyyyyy upstate NY) again. Summer lasts just long enough to put the mosquito repellent on, then it's back to long underwear and frozen snot. Just not cool.

This looks like close to home turf right now, but rapidly retreating. Nice to view when the world seems too crazy. Other than a bluer sky (and maybe farmer's daughter)a perfect tranqualizer for a 'blown out mind'. Here's a bluer sky (quick and sloppy).

Brad I love this so much that I didn't even notice your sky...hahahaha..I totally hate it when that happens....the greens and reds are so wonderful and the composition is perfect..just a wonderful place...very well seen and captured...:):)Linda

I think it is amazing no matter what you think.
Your colors are supurb and I think the sky adds to the photo. It is great. The greens and reds are wonderful.
Congrats

Thilo

It?s a very peaceful scene. Your right about the sky, I think it would be worth it to go back there the next time you get a day with big white puffy clouds. And thanks for the golden rule #1, I?ll remember that next time I?m having lighting issues trying to figure out if I want a silhouette foreground or a blown background. I used to shoot them both ways and combine them, but it?s hard to find the time to sit in front of adobe and play anymore. Great scene and location!

Thank you Michael! And I agree....sometimes I just get burned out with PS, and say "go ahead, check out the flaws".. ...Brad

Who cares for rules...you somewhen commented on a pic of me..I well remember and thank you:) For me an 'imperfect' picture can be much more fascinating than a perfect one. It's all about the mood...
Thank you for all your encouraging comments...always glad to meet you

Hi Bred,
in this last period I'm very full for work and I hadn't free time to visit my friends :-(
Now I come back and I found new wonderful shots in your portfolio.
This is very special. I like very much colours and contrast.

I love it! The sky adds something very nice to this shot....it works! I have a thing for barns...must be my Idaho "roots". My studio looks a little like a barn....I will post a shot of it at some point.

Great work!

Beth Sternal   {K:420} 9/26/2005
Great composition!
