you sure took a lot of photos of your daughter, lots of really cute, interesting and beautiful ones. But this one is, at least in my eyes, even at a higher level!
Its sooo cute, so sweet! I can't really tell why. Maybe the way she is sitting there and looking a little sad automatically starts the protection instinct in me as a father. :)

Nice shot! Wonderfully done!

Love the soft color of the upper blown areas along with the vivid blue of her jeans. Exceptional pose and expression!

innocent and nice child.
his/her(?) feet, hands and eyes...

in my eyes, it was better that:
1- if you could expose wood texture of the edge of stairs more than what it is shown now.

2- right-upper corner over brightness is some unfavorable. by the means of Photoshop you can easily slow down brightness of this zone.

however i love this photo...

be happy and nice.

Hi hamata,

take a look at Pat's portfolio and you'll see she is using high contrast a lot for her photos. Sometimes its a little extreme for my taste, but then the blown out areas and dark parts take away unnecessary detail that, in a way, is distracting from the emotional feeling of a photo. Often A blury, badly exposed photo has so much more emotional impact on me.

I really like this shot because it looks very much like I see with my eyes and mind when I look at people.

Absolutely beautiful job here, Pat! Very unusual to see color coming from you. ;)

I absolutely love the tones, the softness, the pose, her holding the flowers and the bare feet sets it all off! Excellent work, as always, Pat! If this scale went to 10, I'd give it to ya. :)

Wonderful desaturated colors, composition, and "contemplative" expression!
