About This is a task we do at work, usually takes around 14 hours to complete.. Lots of Knifing, bleeding (if unlucky with knife) lifting, sweating and swearing, great day out..

I know a bloke who designs conveyor systems - guess he doesn't get involved in that 14hr operation !

your friend is wielding the right end of the stick.. luckily most splicing, is belts with fabric reinforcement not steel cables.. still a big job but less harardous in general..
