Hi Asher, this is a lovely shot but a bit too dark. This is extremely difficult lighting to get right and usually requires a tripod and a multiple exposure to bring out the best. Expose once for the sky and again for the ground without moving the camera and tripod, then join the correctly exposed portions of each image together in Photoshop or some other editing software. I've had a brief fiddle with this (hope you don't mind?) and have brought out more of the foreground. To do this I opened the image in PS then used a soft edged brush with the brush mode set to soft light. Using white as the colour ad with the opacity set at 40% and the flow set at 50% I brushed those areas I wanted to lighten, repeating the operation a few times to obtain a more subtle blending of the effect. I then ran a blue filter over the whle image to give it a colder almost moonlit effect. I hope you like it?
The base shot has excelent composition and is a great starting point for creating a superb image.
Dear Alastair. This has turned out to be really great and thanks for explaining the PS trick also, very educative and help full for me. This picture's classification in mind has suddenly jumped up from average to excellent in my mind, all credit to your imagination and work.
