excllent work Lowell...i like how you transposed Rothko's vision and style into a photograph. not only did you find a way to use another medium, but you've borrowed his abstract style to make a literal work. great work..........
i love rothko by the way...this must've been a cool exhibition.

Unlike Mr. Miller's viewpoint I don't believe shooting a gallery view of Rothko's work is an "homage" to him. Transporting Rothko's aesthetic into your work would be an homage.

I think Dominic is missing the point Todd was making. Title and intention aside, I really like this image. I too like Rothko's work and I have been in this gallery trying to find a way to take an interesting photo of it. Didn't do nearly as well as you did...
