Love this guy. His cousins around here are colorful, but not nearly as graceful. A very elegant portrait. Regards, --George

Ah yes, a familiar scene in my yard. I love these guys and I never get tired of watching them. I love the tilted head you got on this one. Almost looks like he's trying to figure you out. Great contrast with the white background as well. :)

LoL, what I love he most about your photos Linda is your About, it is always so interesting, I like the capture to, it is kind of soft for an IS lens, This is why I am looking for something faster .. 2.8 or 1.4 :) I am almost done from my searching .. and hopefully soon I will buy one, just shopping around, will let you know .. Kind regards,
|

Good sharp details of this guy, which I do call them magnetic, `cos they walk upside down :) the background figure it up nicely, superb work. Saeed

Beautiful, simply beautiful. The Hebrew word for it is "smamit." Thank you for your kind comment on my "Memories from Paris 32." There's no need to feel sorry for not commenting on my other photos. I know how much time commenting takes. Best regards, Rafi

This doesn't look soft to me dear Ameed, but if it is.....it's not the lens, it's me, I was not going out for macros, just happened to see this cutie and grabbed a shot with what I had at the moment, only got this one shot of him before he took off, and that meant a shutter speed of 1/40th handheld shooting into a dark area. I don't want you to think it's the lens, this lens produces very sharp images and is quickly becoming a favorite of mine. I have the 28-135mm, the 18-55mm, the 50mm 1.4, this one and the 100mm f/2.8...and this one is fantastic, so blame the photographer but not the lens. Just want you to know that my friend...and thank you again my dear...:):)Linda

Thanks Linda for your kind comment and for your help, I am not doubting what you are saying at all, I totally agree with you, but what really concerns me the most is how fast the lens is, this is why I am going to at least 2.8 Lens, If I to get it with IS, it will cost me an arm :) This is why I might go with a third party lens, just because of the cost. btw, Canon D5 is out :( the same as the D20 but with 13.2 MP :(

Grew up with such wildlife right in our homes behind the fluorescent light-frames or in the yard. Any idea what species this is and the habitat you captured this in for an amateur naturalist. On a barrel in a barn or in urban dwelling? Thanks-in-advance.

Hi Sudhir and thank you for your comment and interest. I have no idea the species sorry, I love these little guys though, this was taken on the grounds where I live, I think it was a trash barrel, (yuck) not sure, in a very residential area...yes we see them often, but they don't usually stay still for long...thank you again, appreciate your comment, Linda
