This is a great shot! It really captures the energy of the place. Technically, it looks terrific, too.

very good Thilo; nice use of b&w

Todd Miller   {K:16461} 8/25/2005
great blur here...i like how the guy in flannel seems to be stopped in time, with life swirling all around him. looks like the unibomber or something... perfect tones here just like always. i'm going to have to start playing with the channel mixer a bit more. i'm usually just using brightness/contrast and messing a bit with saturation.

Renato Renato   {K:4759} 8/25/2005
amazing shot, very very very nice street photo.
congrate,ciao Renato

Sofia Alves   {K:1343} 8/25/2005

It is just fine, And I like the blur in here generated by the motion, nicely done, and I can see some interesting things in here as well ;)

This is outstanding, Thilo! Way to go!!

NN     {K:26787} 8/25/2005
Well, these streets are busy! I like how you?ve captured one person quite sharply; he looks almost like a spectator, the rest being blurry = in a hurry. Great night shot!

Thilo Bayer   {K:50301} 8/26/2005
Hi todd,

thx for the analysis. as for the channel mixer: try +200 red, +100 green and -200 blue. this is kind of overdone, but the results are sometimes very special =)

Quite spectacular Thilo!
Captures the hustle and bustle of New York perfectly. You really make good use of the wide-angle.

Mark Beltran   {K:32612} 8/26/2005
I like this! Christmas in NY is like no other in the world. What would be another idea is to keep everything in b&w, but the Christmas tree and Radio City neon in color.

Ursula Luschnig   {K:21809} 8/29/2005
Hi Thilo, das gefällt mir noch besser, voller Leben und vorweihnachtlicher Hektik (die "stade" Zeit in NY ).. 7+++++
Liebe Grüße,Ursula

This is an awesome, crisp bw! The unusual channel mixer recipe worked real well. I love the energy here; the people in motion, the lights and the long verticals of the buildings. Just a bit of pixellation on the upper dark corners but it's minor and only visible if I tip the screen. No big deal. I love the image! Adding to my favs.

Diego Ruggiero   {K:10572} 9/30/2005
