About The images posted tonight are part of a second shoot of this dragonfly. I'm trying to get some really sharp images, and am having to unlearn some of my previous ways of shooting flowers.

Actual info: 1/10 @ f/8 at ISO 200. Used on-camera flash set at -1.5 ev.

I like this image of the two. The depth of field, color and detail of the dragon fly are all well done. Though a slightly different angle would have brought the wings out more. Kudos to you.

Very cool Mary Sue! I could never do these sort of shots...

I'm thinking, maybe a faster shutter speed? The 10d can do iso400 beautifully... So there's one extra stop right there... :-)

Mary Sue,

What a Masterpiece my friend... My hat is off to you... At first I couldn't figure out how you stopped the wings @ 1/15th of a second, but after reading the Actual info: I do understand now...

Using the on board flash @ -1.5 ev. is nothing less than Genius my friend,

Martin

This is my pick of the four. It's really well balanced, both color-wise and with the various elements.

incredible timing and focus, but agreeing with below, you could have possibly shown a better view of the wings. still very very nice

This is a wonderful series. You deserve to have far more comments than you've been getting..
