OK, I'll just re-comment. ;)

Excellent job here, Angela! Very nicely executed, and I really like the vase in the background too, adds a nice element. Great form.

There...

Hi Angela.
Great work.
Contrast and tonal balance is great, not to mention the expression.
Regards
George.

Thanks Klifton. I was kind of wondering about the vase, whehter or not it added or took away from the shot.

Angela,
I'm sure it could be taken either way. I think you set out for what you were after with or without the vase... It adds a nice element like I said, but it doesn't *make* the picture, imo... :)

Angela Freed   {K:10061} 8/26/2005
Well, I'm glad it works either way becuase honestly, I didn't plan it. I saw it as I was taking the pic and thought, you konw, let's see what it looks like. Sometimes I get tired of nothing in the background. Thanks again!

Nice expression and detail in the hair. The jug divides one's interest and I would have removed it.The soft light and dark tones of the pile of books behind make a perfect complement
Best Wishes,Tony.

Thanks for you great comment. I wanted to hear about the jug. Didn't know if it would add or detract. Thanks!
