Great composition Well done

Erik Shea   {K:1597} 8/26/2005
Very nice angle, and good shot of the flag waving.

Ellen Smith   {K:14418} 8/26/2005
Rob this is excellent it's so full of detail. The exposure is dead on.

Susie OConnor   {K:34798} 8/26/2005
Beautiful b/w Rob. Great detail You should enter this in...is it "Famous Places" project? Nice puffy sky for a b/g. Nice! Might be fun to have the flag in color or a little desat? (Or maybe just corny!) Fun to play with an image like this.

i think this is beautiful.

George Marks   {K:14216} 8/26/2005
I think that if this was shot with film, you'd need a red filter. I don't have any idea how you can get that effect with PS.

Rob Graziano   {K:6243} 8/26/2005
George...what would I do with it, or should I say what would that do for me?

Jason Mckeown   {K:20164} 8/26/2005
another excellent shot Rob, your series has been great
Red filter would of darkened the sky

Rob Graziano   {K:6243} 8/26/2005
Thanks for the compliment & the info Jason!

Great solid composition Rob, excellent choice to use B&W. The tones really help create a great atmosphere to the photo. Nice work!

7+++++++

couldnt be better!! I am in love with this shot! What part of VA is this? I am in VA too. Oh wow this is a very moving shot. Thank you :)

Rob Graziano   {K:6243} 8/27/2005
Thanks a lot Toshi! The B&W on this one just kind of feels right and it is a great compliment that you think so!

Rob Graziano   {K:6243} 8/27/2005
Wow! What a great compliment!!!!! I really appreciate that! This memorial is right before you cross over into DC on the Roosevelt Bridge. It is really called the "Marine Corps War Memorial" but is commonly known as the "Iwo Jima Memorial". It is over 30ft tall and is exact representation of the famous picture captured in WWII on the Island of Iwo Jima of the Marines saving the falling flag before it hit the ground. :)

Emily G   {K:320} 8/27/2005
Thanks Rob... It is just beautiful. My grandfather and his son (my uncle) were in the Marines so things like this that symbolize how heroic they are really touch my heart. THanks again, its such a beautiful shot. :)
