hi,Linda...sorry haven't commented lately,but as you probably know,have been disrupted by those out to smear me and my photojournalism images...can email the rest;> ...i noticed the vignettng right off the bat and i like the effect for this shot...and yes, the blues in sky and water are very appealing...good reflections and shimmers on the water...you live in such a beautiful place and some of it reminds me of my former place of residence,Seattle (only 50 miles north of me,now, but just don't get there as often as i would like)...will return in a bit to comment on your other work...regards,gayle

Really nice Linda. I've been struggling with what's "too busy" in marina photos, and this one is definitely not. Very nice comp. Nice and peaceful feeling.

Yes i like this one Linda and the vignetting has helped to concentrate our gaze to the central portion. The overall image may be just a bit fussy but a great sky.

It was nice to have a comment from you again, Linda... I've been terribly busy at work with little time to post or comment recently! I wonder what the attraction of vignetting was? I go to great lengths to eliminate it from the wide-angle shots of mine that reveal it! I agree that the blues are beautiful in this shot.

The vignette makes the sky more attractive, and the strong colors are just after my fancy. In fact this photo is more about light and color than about the boats in a harbor. Nice one !

Yep, I used a polarizer but that's standard for me these days, it never leaves my camera, and then I did the vignette, but those are the actual colors....no filters...honest...:):)

Hi Linda,I too have the busy/comment deficient condition :)
Nice harbor shot, it is busy, but then it's not about boats on open water and captures the congested part of boating. The contrasting blues of the sky with aqua colors of water is the strength of this shot, and I think the vignetting
pulls the image together, countering the 'busyness'.
