About I love hot Saki almost as much as I love very fresh sushi! Shot at lunch the other day. Hand-held at 1/15 sec.

BTW, Sushihana on N.W. Military is one of the best sushi houses in San Antonio.

Your image and perspective are lovely, but you have a small blown out area on the bottom of the vessel. Maybe a light reflector would help?

Don Loseke   {K:32503} 8/28/2005
Wonderful detail, you can almost feel the smoothness of the porcelian. Don.

Lori Stitt   {K:74437} 8/28/2005
Don't like either one of those things, but I do like this photograph you created while lunching!

Sharp as a tack and great light also!
What more could you ask for? :)

Good job,
Lori :)

Beautiful shot of the shiny porcelain. You captured its hard, glossy surface perfectly.

Gayle's Eclectic Photos   {K:91003} 8/28/2005
hi, not into either, but your image is quite nice!...the blown-out spot that John pts.out is just reflective light, right? it seems natural and not a distraction to my eye....love the dof, clarity and the colors...well seen and composed,Paul...peace,gayle

Mark Julian   {K:35624} 8/29/2005
Nice shot, man, do you get around town - who drive's after all the "intake"? I like the shallow DOF. (Still worrying about N.O.) Mark

Jacquie Lindsay   {K:3196} 8/29/2005

aAAH saki... Great shot Paul. Keeping in mind that it was shot in available light and hand held - amamzing clarity and great lighting... Fantastic angle to boot..

Katia Cutrone   {K:12940} 9/4/2005
I love it too...so much!

Ina Nicolae   {K:44481} 9/8/2005
Very smoooooth picture, beautiful background, it almost looks like a Japanese letter. Great composition. Nice contrast between the smooth ceramic texture and the rough piece of string.

Paul Lara   {K:81445} 9/8/2005
Yes!
It was that contrast that caught my eye, Ina!
Thanks for stopping by.

Photo good, Saki bad. It tastes like melted candle wax. Ea!! Saki! Ea!!

Paul Lara   {K:81445} 9/9/2005
Oh, one of those BEEEER snobs, eh?
I'll bet you're one of those Ale Elitists who enjoys quaffing flaggons o' brew!

Damn. I'm making myself thirsty. Gotta go snag another NewCastle Brown Ale.

Ultraterrestrials are beings on Earth which can not be explained. The Mothman, and his henchmen, for instance, would be considered an ultraterrestrial.

And yes, I got rid of the work photographs. I just didn't like them. I usually end up getting rid of 60% of my photographs anyhow. /:,'

Great color and clarity on the saki, by the way. Woo! (:,'

Cristina D   {K:7924} 10/17/2005
Paul what is saki?I`m so curious?what is with this kind of glass?

Paul Lara   {K:81445} 10/17/2005
From Japan, Saki is wine, but instead of grapes, it is made from rice. It is clear as water, and quite tasty. ;)

This is not the glass, but the jar it is heated in. You then pour the saki into very small cups, about the size of an espresso cup.

Cristina D   {K:7924} 10/18/2005
oh I like this jar, if I have one I`ll just arrange it on a shlef to look at it cause looks so beautiful!
Thank you for explaining me all these.

Regards,

Cris

It is so nice color and texture.
