About I learned a new technique online today and just had to try it out. This certainly gave me a new respect for those of you who do this type of thing. It's much harder than it looks! Tips and critiques welcome!

I love the way you've done the cropping & design. It seems like the flower is standing in front of a mirror, adoring herself. It's lovely.

Keep up the great work.

Hi Trace,
I subscribe to a web site called photoshopelementsuser.com It costs $49 per year, but for that you get I think 6 really great full color magazines crammed with tips and also access to their "subscriber only" section of their web site. There are always tips on there presented with videos so you can watch them step by step. For my money it's well worth it. Even if you have the full blown version of PS I think it would apply. Anyway...there you have it. Thanks for all your great comments. I REALLY appreciate them.
Susie

This is a great shot, Susie. It really doesn't look like your first effort. Very impressive. Love the original way you've composed this one and the framing looks great. Also the bright colours really stand out. Has a real ethnic feel to it. Would look great on a white stucco wall. Cheers, Ann.
