Oh, and I would LOVE to have your deep eyes in front of my lens, Stace!

Salvatore Rossignolo   {K:13547} 8/30/2005
Beautiful shot. The exposure and her natural pose is very strong. I've only recently discovered the joys channel mixer B&W conversion, in fact it is how I did my "Off Camera" shot.
My only constructive critisism of this shot would be to have softened the focus on her highlights with the blurring tool or an slight gaussian blur with PS, to have obfuscated the pores of her skin.
Great work my friend.

Paul Lara   {K:77712} 8/30/2005
Hehe. He said 'obfuscated'. ;)

Thanks for the softening tip, Salvatore, I think I'll try that.

Salvatore Rossignolo   {K:13547} 8/30/2005
I sometimes take myself too seriously ('obfuscated'). Majorly cool shot dude!

Paul Lara   {K:77712} 8/30/2005
Oh, trust me, there was no problem understanding your comment, Sal (I'm a product marketing manager and "word jockey" during the day).

...ummm....yeah, Paul....have you ever heard Ms. Jenelle say anything about feeling trapped in her job and maybe wanting to move out west and getting involved in something new and exciting?...You know, I'm not 100% sure but I think I know somebody that needs an assistant.......ummm...... (nice shot, a series would be interesting)

Daniel Schmidtka   {K:13956} 8/31/2005
Howdy Paul,
Nice work on this portrait. A beautiful model indeed!

Katia Cutrone   {K:12940} 9/4/2005
I like the crop amd the angle you chose for her; and I don?t mind at all the pores of her skin. At the contrary, I find these pores show that she is a real person and not a "image for a beauty cream adv"

Thanks a lot for the time you took to visit my portfolio.

Of course pictures lie all the time, and a flicker of second reveals only a flicker of a second. But sometimes something quintessential real happens? And here the viewer ?feels? the unaffected and absolutely sweet nature of this lovely looking girl. Also that she ?trusts? the photographer - a ?must? in taking a good portrait.
This is a fine portrait Paul? and so pleasant it must be for you to go to work everyday day ;-)?
