About I'm trying my hand at photographing birds this summer. Darn critters hop around and are difficult to photograph. This photo was taken using a fill flash. I may have gone overboard using the highlight/shadow feature in PS, the background was darker and I lighten it up a tad, but to me doesn't look right. Any suggestions would be helpful.
Thanks
Ken

I'd call it nicely done. It has a lot of depth to it, which I like a lot. I'm impressed that you got close enough for the flash to have an effect. Good work.

Neal,
Thank you for your kind comments. You mentioned the flash, I should have noted that I used a Nikon SB800 flash with a Better Beamer flash extender. This allowed me to photograph the bird with fill flash from a greater distance, approx, 30'.
With regards.
Ken
