About pressed the shutter then went running down the driveway to assume my "Napoleon watching his troops ford a river (with morning cigarette)" pose--to the amusement of some locals.

haha great. very appropriate flatness here. could be a victorian theatre where the cardboard town can be swapped for the egyptian desert in no time. /h

Good shot Mark! The composition is great. I like the fact of not seeing your feet. Makes it look more interesting. But to me, the greatest thing about this photo is the comment you worte about how you took it and your pose. Because when I first looked at your photo I saw a good composition, the feet issue and you standing there. Well, THEN I read your comment, and when I looked back to the photo, I laughed. I just pictured you running with your cigarette in your mouth along the street, the camera left alone with the countdown, and suddenly stopping and poseing like this while the nieghbours were wondering what were you doing. That's so funny!! To me, your photo is a great example of how a few words can change the perception and the way to look at a photograph. Well done!!

Best regards,
ferran
