About The West Temple at Zion N'tl Park at sunrise. What splendor -- NO filters or adjustments in photshop on this one!!

"But love of the wilderness is more than a hunger for what is always beyond reach; it is also an expression of loyalty to the earth which bore us and sustains us, the only home we shall ever know, the only paradise we ever need -
if only we had eyes to see." Edward Abbey

Lisa, this is just magnificent! Love the poem too. Thank you for sharing it. This would be great in poster-size!!

FYI. This was Easter week of 1999. I went west expecting warmth... and got a snowstorm instead. There was very deep snow at Bryce and higher elevations. Here you can see the dusting on top. The storm was moving on and that accounted for the very dark, moody clouds.

Also, I liked the way the sun's shadows from across the valley mimicked the shape of that canyon wall itself.

Oh yeah, I awoke in a nearby campground to this, sleeping in the backseat of my rental car (no tent back then!) and had to rush around to get there quick!! lol!! Now I make sure the travel alarm is SET!! ;-)

I've attached a shot from that same trip, in the Kolob Canyon section of Zion. It's a very small slide scan, so wouldn't show up good full-size... but might be OK as a tiny attachment. LOL!
