You have the ability to take what would have been a great picture anyway and turn it into something truly spectacular. It's a wonderful, thought-provoking title too. A very rich image so skillfully created.

Luke Luther   {K:14687} 9/1/2005
What a beautifully presented nature shot...how did you achieve the fantastic blue lighting? Naturally or PS? Either way is gorgeous!

Gayle's Eclectic Photos   {K:91043} 9/2/2005
Powerful shot,Sassy!!! of course i love the blue, but the light is just magic! Very well executed to capture the rushing water and turn it into mysterious smoke...raw power!...love the title, too ;> ...thanks for recent comments to me and your feedback is always a treat to read...Shameless

Dirck DuFlon   {K:35779} 9/2/2005
This is absolutely beautiful, Christine! The turbulent water among the rocks looks like little blue flames licking at the gauze-like columns of water feeding down into it! Liquid ice-fire!
Good to see you posting again!! :)

Rebecca Raybon   {K:26645} 9/2/2005
Beautiful, deep and moody, much like our feelings :) Beautiful work, my friend.

Del Metheny   {K:25617} 9/2/2005
The blue is beautiful. Del.

Luke, there already was a soft subtle blue cast to the water and the surrounding landscape was in shadows. I played with shutter speed and aperture as I am still learning and wanted to see what different effects I could achieve. I adjusted the contrast a little more and selective colour in Corel Photo-Paint.

Super photo. Soft and subtle. The blue makes the water look cold. The whole falls is probably beautiful. I love water falls.................Opal

Thank you for your nice comment about my photo

Linda Bique   {K:73220} 9/9/2005
Wow this is really beautiful, I read the comments and have to agree with all of them, but I see the fire and ice that Dirck sees, and the blue tones against the stark darkness are beautiful Christine..I like that the rocks are breaking up the falling water, what a lovely scene. And the title, we can all relate to that from time to time, I know I can. Gorgeous work, I love it...Linda
