I like the high key approach, but it seems you did this by adjusting curves, as the lashes get that orangey-oversaturated look to them.

Perhaps use a threshold layer to moderate saturation or to replace the high-key lashes all together.

Love it! Very artistic.

Ciao Sally,

Do you see me? I can see you through your beautiful eye..

Bellissima!

Ciao

Sally Morgan   {K:9219} 9/4/2005
Thanks for the suggestion Paul - I'd be grateful if you'd tell me what a threshold layer is and how I do one - then I can re-post me eye!

Bryan Jarmain   {K:11941} 9/4/2005
Lovely art work, Sally. I love the high key and almost impressionistic feel you captured here...

Paul Lara   {K:77712} 9/4/2005
Oh, certainly Sally!
Do you use Photoshop? If so, e-mail me at the address on my profile, and I can explain it.

Beautiful eyes you have Sally, guess I should say eye, hahaha...I love your artistic approach, nice title..I like the high key look and the borderlessness...and I'd love to know what Paul said too, to bad he didn't put it here in the comments so we could all learn...:(....great work...:):)

PS...I just got an infra-red filter but have no idea how to use it..any suggestions...thanks Sally...Linda

Ferran

Great concept for a shot. If you check out my portfolio you'll see why I'm so fond of this idea for a photo. Very nice treatment to the image.

Lydia Dotto   {K:904} 10/18/2005
I really like this minimalist effect. The detail in the pupil is amazing.

I'd also be interested in knowing more about how to achieve this effect in Photoshop so if you feel like sharing the advice, I'd be all ears.

Sally Morgan   {K:9219} 10/18/2005
Thanks Lydia - this was purely by accident - I was messing around with 'curves'. All I did was go into curves, grab the 'node' in the top right hand corner and drag it directly left - that's it!

Lee Harris   {K:14694} 10/19/2005
Hi Sally, thank you for your comment on my blue bird.
You have a very creative portfolio, images like this are more then just a snap of the camera, very artsy.
Congratulations on a fine abstract.
Kind Regards
Lee

Martin Mora   {K:4372} 12/9/2005
wow this is your eye??? BEAUTIFUL!!! and I got stuck with boreing brown :(,

Sally Morgan   {K:9219} 12/11/2005
I wish I could say my eyes were normally that colour. It wasn't intentional, but playing with the curves turned them from their normal greeny khaki colour - to something much more pleasant!

Ieva Miltina   {K:182} 12/22/2005
thank you VERY MUCH!!!
(i just love this picture!the colour of eye is perfect and actually I love photos with eyes hihi:)

Ron Wilson   {K:18161} 11/13/2006
