Linda Bique   {K:74033} 9/4/2005
Beautiful view Carsten, I had no idea the leaves on a sunflower plant were that big. Sunflowers always seem to have a personality of some sort. It seems as if all of her petals are pointing into the image as is she wants us to see the beauty of the land she lives in...I love wildflowers too, a simple beauty often overlooked, and I like that they are interupted by the lovely clusters of tall grasses, another beautiful landscape with great depth, I like the summery colors...very nicely done...:):)

Chris Hunter   {K:25631} 9/5/2005
Good composition and foreground interest Carsten, I think the single, unmanipulated photo works well. While thes ky is a litlle blown out, it makes the photo have a more natural feel, as opposed to the perfectly even, perfectly exposed shots made via multies or grads.

Cheers,
Chris

Alison DuFlon   {K:36165} 9/5/2005
How beautifully you have featured this sunflower. It seems so alone and regal within the huge expanse of land around it. Alison

One of the last queens of the meadow? Fine landscape, good title. (Weren't you hit by the recent floods and storms?)Regards: Gy.

Carsten Ranke   {K:14453} 9/8/2005
György, thanks for dropping by ! No, we had a lot of rain here but not as much as in northern Germany, and we live on a plateau in 720 m above sea level
Cheers
Carsten

Keith Ruddell   {K:3570} 9/24/2005
I thought this was Germany at first glance !! :) Great depth created by the sunflower in the foreground. Love it..

This is so beautiful. I love the way you caught the light dancing on the leaves. The sunflower looks like she is calling everyone to come and enjoy the beautioful scenery. Terrific. I love the vertical presentation.
