Interesante composición.
Felicitaciones!

Sébastien Pepinster   {K:424} 9/6/2005
Very, VERY good.

BUT. ('cause there's a "but")

But I'd have loved so much that you'd shot a bit lower, in order to cut the car just under the bumper.

Jim Budrakey   {K:24165} 9/6/2005
Wow! That looks like my first car - a '47 Chevy (yep, I'm that old :-)

Kiarang Alaei   {K:49417} 9/7/2005
Wonderful composition and unique title, very good and skifully shot!

D W   {K:2560} 9/7/2005
The composition and colour are brilliant. - Dave

Sebastien:

I agree. Wholeheartedly. But...
The brick ends right where I cropped the shot. There was some really nasty concrete that seemed to inturupt the flow of the brick, so I was forced by situation to shoot this photograph.

Ciprian Ilie   {K:13544} 9/7/2005
Beautiful composition and colour. Very good.

Regards,
Ciprian

Super compo - very simple and to the point graphic design - K

Excellent composition! Beautifully captured, Micheal. My eye wants to move the auto further to the left, but I doubt that was an option. Still, a terrific image.

FYI - this is another Millervision (TM) shot... common street scene with assymetric composition, juxtaposition of colors, textures, and objects as graphic elements...

Yeah - apart from a little B&E I don't think the car would move.

Andre Denis   {K:61621} 9/7/2005
Nice shot Michael!
Excellent contrast in textures between the bricks and the finish on the body of the car.
The composition is very well thought out too.
The window is a nice touch.
Andre

beautiful shot Michael...great tones, lines. well done!
todd

Anthony Lound   {K:6586} 9/9/2005
I love this one too - and I saw your compositional contraints Michael. The window can't be real if I know my bricklaying...but hey it's a pleasing inclusion.

Anthony

Michael Kanemoto   {K:22106} 9/9/2005
The window is real - the brick is fake!
Nothing added, nothing subtracted - this is an honest place - I think the brick is one of those vinyl glue on jobs...

Anthony Lound   {K:6586} 9/10/2005
Ah! I just KNEW summat was plain wrong here. Incongruity notwithstanding, it's a brilliant image Michael. Oh my u have an eye.

Anthony

Kostas Tzanetos   {K:22012} 9/10/2005
i would say the same with Sebastien but your explanation was clear... apart from this,i like this picture a lot and i enjoy looking at it ;-)
best wishes,
kostas

you captured some great colors here. this is simple but a great street shot.
Anthony

Michael Kanemoto   {K:22106} 9/27/2005
Anthony -

I returned to the site this weekend and the brick is real. Someone went through the effort to cut each brick around the window to size. Quite a neat bit of work.

Morgan Estill   {K:3786} 9/28/2005
Those have got to be some of the redest bricks I've ever seen. This shot is SO simple, but SO COOL! Composition - perfect. What a great abstract. 7/7

Michael Kanemoto   {K:22106} 9/29/2005
Morgan;

Increased saturation in PS will do that to bricks. Check out Todd Miller and Kevin Collier. They put me to shame. Jeanette Hägglund is on a playing field way above me.

Jeanette Hägglund   {K:59855} 12/8/2005
Oh mamma mia - i would certinly buy it - so lovely! ;)) Excellent shot, your composition and most of all crop. Nice colour combination with the redbrown of bricks and rust and the greyblue...

Jeanette

Ina Nicolae   {K:44481} 1/26/2006
Michael, while looking at your amazing landscapes, I saw this gem - among many others. I think this is striking in composition, colors, and graphic quality! It looks like a hyper-realist painting! Fantastic image!

Michael Kanemoto   {K:22106} 1/26/2006
Ina:

Honored. You will want to look at the work of Jeanette Hägglund, Todd Miller, and Kevin Collier if you find this type of photography interesting.

Michael Kanemoto   {K:22106} 1/26/2006
Jeanette:

This car is still for sale. I can give you the full phone number if you want it. Shipping might be expensive...

Ina Nicolae   {K:44481} 1/26/2006
Thanks Michael, I actually discovered all three of them early in my UF life :) Yesterday my critique to Jeanette was FC :)

Dave Arnold   {K:55672} 4/16/2006
Excellent framing. I like how the lines of this car just contrast with the straight brick. So much better than if you had used the whole car or focused primarily on the car.

Best wishes,
Dave

Robert Kocs   {K:89085} 6/30/2006
Very nice abstract composition, well captured and
presented. Love the gret brick pattern and rusty car.
Well done Michael.

Best wishes
Robert
