WOW, stunning shot!!! Super silhouette, gorgeous color, fabulous detail... you can see the little holes in the 'legs' and the large blade at the back... and excellent composition... well captured!!! And anyhow... I'm a sucker for windmills and orange... so it's a win win situation for me...... LOL!!!

Thanks - there are thousands of these windmills, manufactured by the Aeromotor company in Chicago, that really helped settle the west. Every farm had to have one to pump water - and the remenants are still seen across Kansas and Nebraska.

PS has a bit more control and finesse than Picasa and the standard Microsoft Photo Editor...
Yeah - dusting, dusting, dusting... clone and healing brush are my friends...

I have been trying to get this same shot for a few weeks, now and have yet to be successful. I really like your style of this type of stuff. You definitely need to come down to Madrid, NM and take some shots. I'd be interested in seeing what you capture that I have yet to see. 7/7
