About Really liked the angles and lines in this shot - and the contrast between the black, and the glowing gold & white lights. What do you think?

Lovely Janice, excellent composition, actually reminds me a bit of the Angel of the North, shots posted from our UF meet, but couldn't be more different

Janice,

What do I think? I simply love it. The cropping is awesome, as well as centering this capture.

Picture perfect my friend,

Martin

Nice perspective and composition Jan. The gold against the black is striking.

Thanks Quinton - so much to see at this one hotel and so many different areas you could focus on.

Jan Graziano   {K:17179} 9/9/2005
Thanks Margaret - I agree with you - the "wings" on the building have the same flavor in this crop as do the wings on your Angel of the North. Will have to go back and take another look at her, but do believe that's what it is - even though the subject matter, lighting, etc. is completely different. Jan

Thanks Kathy - glad you like the lighting too. Jan

Thanks a bunch Ellen - are you hanging in there with your job? Isn't it a shame that when we have a few extra $ it's because we had to get out there and earn it - leaving us not enough time to play - even though we had a few extra $, and when we have the time - we don't have the $. Go figure! Jan

Superbly sharp and symmetrical night shot, Janice.
I'm not sure you need all the black at the top though. Maybe a more panoramic crop would be worth a try?
Best regards, Chris

Regards

No dear what sucks is it took me a week to earn 100$ and I hired a man to come and fix my flower beds and he got all but 10$ in 4 hours. But I now have some really fine looking dirt. Lets see how long it takes for me to kill it. LOL

Keep shooting, Ellen

Great lights!!!!!!
Gorgeous

Jan Graziano   {K:17179} 9/10/2005
Now that I am looking at this again Chris - think you are correct - less sky would eliminate the 1/2 in 1/2 look and bring the image closer to 1/3rds. Will crop and see. Thanks for the suggestion. Jan

Ceceilia Robinson   {K:1023} 9/14/2005
I think I like them also. The contrast of the angles against the night sky is beautifully done. Very good composition. Thank you for your comments on my hummingbird, Ceceillia

Mary Brown   {K:68582} 9/16/2005
The lighting, and composition are grand. It reminds me of a large angel with his wings spread welcoming people. I agree with Chris about cropping out some of the black. Great shot.
