About Lots of people complain about these towers being an eyesore and noisy. Well think aboutb the people in the little farm house to the back of this shot!!

just shows you how big they really are doesn't it?

The story behind this shot is that it was THE only time in the 2 hours that any sun poured onto the turbines - there were all sorts of spectacles elsewhere, but alas these were in shade except for a 15-20 second burst of light.

Of course I was metered for elsewhere, had the wrong filters on and was generally looking the wrong way and just caught this by chance....

Literally turned the camera round on the tripod, pulled the ND grads in to place and lowered the exposure by a full stop (using the aperture, always shoot at 1/20th sec for this to get teh blur).

Came out OK in the end - reeled 3 shots off and the light went for the rest of the day.
