About "What is up above you will find below"

A saying that is often true - Number 2 in a series I am doing on the "Appearance of Rust".

All photos are taken on subjects in my backyard that is in a natural process of rusting. Most of it on an old painted 44 gallon drum. My aim is to find patterns, textures and colours that echoes possible scenes from this world and even the universe. So please take on your imaginary glasses and tell me if you see what I saw, or something different or ...nothing at all!

These are all at the super-macro level (magnification ration of 2.5:1). I used my Nikon 105 micro lense with a 2.5 Panagor macro converter. All settings on manual, the built-in flash on manual, full strength. Not tripod used. All photos are uncropped. All colours are as I found them - the only changes made were adjustments of brightness and contrast.

Beautiful capture, Joggie; it definitely could be seen as a meteorite shower, falling upon the edge of a forest...a hint of fire spreading. Love it. Am adding you to my associates so I won't miss new series posts.

Wonderful colours, shapes and textures, Joggie.
I think 'meteorite' describes this one very well.
Best regards, Chris

Very creative, Joggie. One of your closer resembling ones. Looks like a few of them (meteors), and to stretch my imagination - thats a fish in the center getting a scare from "the sky falling in"... ;-)

Exquisite colours ... a magnificent abstract!

Can see the meteorite here... though on the thumbnail it looks like the face (half shaded) of a warrior... spear in hand & hair blowing in the wind! (bless... I do have rather a good imagination though) another favourite
