About As you can tell from the total lack of people, this is another shot from my early morning stroll around York. I just liked the line of tables taking the eye into the picture.

Have a good Sunday!

Best regards, Chris

Really, really like this shot - another view of the same waterfront as Mr. Blue Sky...but you didn't fiddle with the sky in this one. I really like the composition - the tables and the river bring your eyes into and through the picture and allow you to feast your eyes on the lovely old buildings. Details are great and the reflections of the buildings in the river are top notch. Well seen and well captured. Jan

Great composition. Both the tables and posts lead one's eye through the image. Do you think they put them there for photographers?

And here I was marvelling at your cloning and mixing of images skills Chris! ;-) LOL

That line of tables takes on a really abstract appearance from that angle - I suspect it could be cropped to be very effective in their own right!
Excellent vision Chris...

Alastair

OUtside the King's Arms no les - I've sat on most of those and usually get sunburned in the process!

It's one of our traditional summer days out - we'd go to York on the train (not far from Leeds), hava pub lunch then wander round from pub to pub till we got to the King's, then settle there for an hour or 2 before returning to Leeds.

Never ever seen the place empty though - except for when it'd flooded. which is quite regularly

perspective on this makes it loko loads bigger than it really is actually

Burak Tanriover   {K:16604} 9/12/2005
this is a very well composed picture,I like the curved river and the shining on it.
All the best.

(I miss some a blue patch or two in the sky...)

Roger Williams   {K:83282} 9/15/2005
Looks a nice place for a quiet drink with friends. I don't think the composition could have been bettered... and there's a convincing naturalness about the shot that makes me feel I'm there (or rather wish I was!).

Richard Dakin   {K:12852} 9/21/2005
VERY effective composition. A workout for the eyes. Congrats Chris.
