About Tea-picker in Darjeeling.

This is hard work, these hills are very steep!

Darjeeling is a hill station, so the Monsoon season means a lot of cloud as well as rain.

She and her colleagues were quite amused at my photo taking antics and had a good laugh as I went about it :)

Hi Anglelo,

What a wonderful image you have clicked.

I have a website for tea - romancing-the-tea.com.

Can I use this image in my site? I would be delighted if you let me do so.

regards,
ken.

Carmem

An absolutely wonderful shot of the tea picker, Angelo! Great colours, and the mist or low cloud adds a lot of atmosphere to the scene!
Dave.

I honestly don't know how you could improve on this shot, Angelo! Rich, vibrant colors, yet a somber tone is set with the foggy background. Your choice of shooting from an angle above her was an excellent one. It is not only visually stimulating....it says something about the person and the people. Awesome! ..Brad

I bet you came back to us more in shape lol
I can't imaging walking all of these distances and roads, but it pays off my friend,
This is just wonderful Angelo, I like the fading background with the mist,
Very well done 777777777

Que fantástico esse lugar... Maravilhosa captura, Angelo!!! Esse ângulo ficou demais... a névoa vai 'apagando' a paisagem aos poucos e nos deixa só a silhueta para imaginarmos o que tem ao fundo. Nota 10!!

Parabéns!

Márcia

Hi Angelo,

a great portrait and a great perspective to include the mystery in the background. very moody stuff. I thought about a bw conversion, but the background lacks any color so I guess your version is just fine.

good one again.

best wishes, Thilo

Every time I have a cup of tea, which is often, I'm reminded how each and every tea leaf is picked by hand -- and I'm amazed how cheap tea is. Lovely photograph.

The colours are so vibrant. Your composition really shows her difficult job and her cheerfulness. Haing the expanse of clouds not only emphasizes the altitude, but also shows the vastness of the land and connection between earth and sky. It is very beautifully presented.
Mary
