The overall darkness of the photo shows the lamps very nicely, but I don't think this photo is supposed to be about the lamps. So I'd recommend a much lighter print, so that the girl and the hall are shown clearly.

Thank you for the comment, but the darkness is intentional.

OK. I'm looking at the photo on my work monitor now, and it's not as dark as on my home monitor, so I guess calibration is playing a major role here.

Hi Lisa, Greetings for your comments. I read your bio - it must be thrilling to study with a great contemporary artist. Your photos have a social critique aspect as well. I love the mood in this one - the setting, the dress, and the vintage look of the monochrome. The circles and the reflections add a note of elegance.

A fabulous architetural shot! Very nicely balanced composition and goo choice of focal length. Excellent exposure and sharpness as well. Also, the figure in the shot is very well placed and seems to fit into the shot quite well. The clothing hair and jewlry are fitting to the mood of the shot and tell a story of waiting for someone, perhaps, in the beautiful place, so empty otherwise. Great eye on this!
