About A building with flats, just opposite my flat, during a strange winter night. At night so many things can be considered as unexpected. Especially when we are at home.
PS: The colors are real, I just pushed them a bit :)

i like the colours and the tight symmetrical composition and the grain...the mood it creates is strange, and that is a good thing ;-)

kostas

Hi again Kostas and thank you for your comment. I appreciate the fact that your comments are always thoughtful. I agree with your opinion. As I can see it, this pic seems to be hiding as much as revealing things. And I think this is what causes a kind of a 'tense' atmosphere.

Regards,
George

(PS: my late reply is due to the fact that I have moved out recently. Actually I've left Greece and now gonna be living in the UK for some years :) )

Hello Georgios This looks like a good water colour. Excellent shot.
For me there is a strange twist of scale here which is intriguing. I can work out the size of the areials but nothing else obiously..

Thank you for your comment Ian.
I agree with you about on the water colour effect. Although it wasn't my intention to give the impression of a 'painting', the final result looks like that, and it seems to be working for the certain picture.
Interesting point the one about the twisting of scale, although I'm not sure I understand what it is that you mean. Do you mean that the size of the aerials look unnaturally large in relation to their context? I guess you are right, whereas I cannot see this very clearly. It's maybe because (unfortunately for me) this certain scene is something I've been looking at every day (or night) from my bedroom, so it is difficult to look at this photo without removing the vague impression of the scene I have in my head.. In other words, it seems to me that the size proportions seem ok to me, although it is probably an illusion... I hope this makes some sense.. :)

Regards,
George

possibly an effect stemming from the holes in the wall that also look like windows Georgios. Great burnt up sky and colours here.

Giorgos Siamantas   {K:221} 11/16/2005
Oh, I see. I like the fact that the perception of this picture is different for each one of us. The 'holes' that look like windows are actually real bathroom windows. But it is interesting that you had a 'confused' impression about it.

Thanks again for your comments,
George
