Paul Lara   {K:77198} 9/11/2005
You've achieved something not at all trivial:
Hard, high contrast shot, yet without losing any of the detail in the highlights, Carsten.

Visually pleasing and technically impeciible.

Ruse Iulia   {K:13} 9/11/2005

I'm not certain that I'm in love with the color effects....but I am certain that I admire your shooting perspective! Brilliantly composed, well balanced, and soooo much movement captured in that sky! Great effort! ..Brad

Antonio Trincone   {K:23167} 9/11/2005
the different cast of the two parts seems to be disturbing; nice idea and landscape though

Another very strong and unique image. The combination of colour and B&W works really well here and the angle of the bales adds to the feeling of expanse.

Hi Carsten,

Fadel J   {K:13512} 9/14/2005

Ciprian Ilie   {K:13215} 9/17/2005
WOW! Very imaginative taking a separate shot of the sky and creating this! You have given yourself an extra wide angle lens.

Beautiful tones and detail, Carsten, very well done!

Regards,
Ciprian

Ameed El-Ghoul   {K:42023} 9/21/2005
Carsten, this is something special for sure, I like the way you blend many pictures into one, many people use this technique, but only few bring the best out of it, and you are one of those, Very well done and keep up the good work,
Regards,

György Szönyi   {K:8347} 9/24/2005
Beautifully stiched, Carsten. I like the combination of the sepia sky and the color foreground. The hay roll is a fine center object, we can only regret that traditional haystacks have disappeared from Western Europe. You can only find them east from Hungary any more. (You should once take a trip to Transylvania for excellent landscape motifs.)

Silvia Tosolini   {K:960} 9/25/2005
I love your landscapes and your fine post-production works!!!
In this one spectacular tones and contrasts... congrats!

NN     {K:26787} 9/29/2005
You are a master of moody/dramatic skies! The line in the sky adds a very elegant element to the composition. Awesome colours/tones!

Luis Diogo   {K:6019} 10/1/2005
Super capture!!! Wonderful colors, shadows, great landscape and composition...

KEVIN TEMPLE   {K:7298} 11/7/2005
Great image Carlston.Could you have a look at wet moorland and tell me if that is the way you produce your images I would be most gratefull

Carsten Ranke   {K:14453} 11/7/2005
Kevin I had a look into your "wet moorland" - I try not to put in a different sky because I find it extremely difficult to match lighting and color temperature perfectly. If I make a composite, it is an original sky over the ground layer, worked up differently with levels etc. I use CaptureOne DRebel ed., that allows for saving a color palette and transfer it into another shot. So, I can work on exposure bracketed RAWs and use the same color setting to all layers, VERY useful feature of C1.

Ivan Di Pietro   {K:1226} 1/19/2006
Incredible work this one too.. (7)
