About Color to sepia..1/125, f5.2, ISO 100

I recently aquired some large, burned timbers measureing about 18 x 6 inches x 20 feet long (yeah, my wife loves me). Talk about rough-cut lumber. These big nails or spikes are about 8-10 inches long, and have to be removed in order to clean up and use the timbers.

Never thought I'd say it, but...
(...drumroll...)

... I have to do my nails.

Excellent Image works great on the angle which can always make or break the final image, this is great.

Hahahaha...spoken like a real man! Hahahaha..great minimal DOF and composition...I really like your tunes...Linda.

Ina Nicolae   {K:44481} 9/12/2005
Absolutely perfect in sepia. I'm glad "you did your nails" for all of us to see. Excellent texture and DOF, I bet the color version wasn't as interesting. Sometimes B&W or sepia are better suited to the subject, as in this case.

Bradley Prue   {K:30312} 9/12/2005
Outstanding (limited) DOF.... the color adds to a very nostalgic mood. Love this! ...Brad

Kes     {K:18704} 9/12/2005
Ina - you are correct, the color version wasn't to appealing to my eye. Thanks, I enjoyed looking at your photos.

Kes     {K:18704} 9/12/2005
Thanks Linda! Do you think "minimal depth of field" would be a better project choice? Thanks again!

Kes     {K:18704} 9/12/2005
Thanks Bradley, for your comment.

Hi Keseph, I'm laughing at my comment..."I like your tunes" well it's possible...the project, I do think it would go well in that project...it's an excellent minimal dof....thank you too for your wonderful comment...Linda

Janet B   {K:16139} 9/12/2005

Linda,

Thanks for the advice.

As to tunes and "well it's possible"...Ok, but not likely. I play the guitar horribly.

Always appreciate your comments, Janet! Thanks!
