About I wanted to show a friend the maximum zoom of my camera, and took this picture to demonstrate it. I could have focused on anything, but this man caught my eye.

O inconfundabila atmosfera romaneasca! Interesting !

Excellent composition!!! This photo tells a story! It can be a simple one as well as a very dramatic one, but every element in it can have its little story!Challenging shot!

Oh my God that's my cousin! Just joking sorry... :).
There seems to be more detail in the glass / windows on the right than the man.

I like this shot because it reminds me of home.

Regards,
Ciprian

Hi Ciprian! Thanks for your comments, and nice to meet you. Yes, this is a familiar image for many of us. A fost o poza luata la cca. 400mm zoom, dintr-un balcon. Mi-a placut ca subiectul nu m-a observat, la a doua poza insa s-a retras.

Interesante composición...como dos mundos distintos.
Un abrazo!

Thanks Gustavo! Your train tracks made me look back at some of my own photos of train tracks. I have one that's almost the same colors, but not as perfect perspective as Al Sur ;-) Regards, Ina

You certainly captured a sense of urban hopelessness in a context of brutal "peoples" architecture Ina! The condensation running down at right, the wilting plant and the clothes-line, accented by this building's overall dilapidation, add powerfully to an image of near desperation. That is my take on this shot.

Ina Nicolae   {K:44481} 9/13/2005
Right ON again! I couldn't put it better myself. Thank you so much, I really appreciate your comments.
