About "What is up above you will find below"

A saying that is often true - Number 5 in a series I am doing on the "Appearance of Rust".

All photos are taken on subjects in my backyard that is in a natural process of rusting. Most of it on an old painted 44 gallon drum. My aim is to find patterns, textures and colours that echoes possible scenes from this world and even the universe. So please take on your imaginary glasses and tell me if you see what I saw, or something different or ...nothing at all!

These are all at the super-macro level (magnification ration of 2.5:1). I used my Nikon 105 micro lense with a 2.5 Panagor macro converter. All settings on manual, the built-in flash on manual, full strength. Not tripod used. All photos are uncropped. All colours are as I found them - the only changes made were adjustments of brightness and contrast.

Hey maatje een lange tijd niets meer van je gehoord je zult wel druk met je werk zijn...

Great Abstract Joggie beautiful texture and colours, especially the erosie are very nice. Superb fantasy you have. Je schreef in jouw about of ik iets zou herkennen in de foto maar helaas zie ik het niet... maar heeft het met water te maken??

groetjes,

Riny

A lovely abstract, Joggie. Well spotted with these primary colours. Possibly could be seen as a fire as well (with a stretch of the immagination), but I think a volcano is a good analogy...

Just needs some fishermen in silhouette to make it a duplicate photograph.
