About Such exquisite delicacy...

Should have used a slower shutter speed to increase the DOF a bit, but it was a bit breezy in this outdoor garden shot.

Beautiful rose composition. Like the angle you shot it. Black background adds to the image.

It's a lovely shot. You certainly captured the soft textures and subtle colors well.

absolutely flawless lighting. it reminds me of Harold Feistein's work. judging by the black background and square cropping, he may have been your inspiration.

Thank you very much for this fine praise Jim. In my wildest dreams I could not hope to rival Feistein's work (and who could??). I was not consciously inspired by his fine images when shooting this one, though I see what you mean regarding the backdrop, etc. It actually just worked out that I was shooting a little underexposed against a dark background and so lost all the shadow detail. Thanks for your comment!

Beautiful floral, I love the white against black, purity springs forth..the delicate petals and curves are well captured, and the slight shades of pink add to the delicate presentation. I think your focus is just fine for this, flowers are soft and delicate, and this one is perfect for me...very nicely done Mark...Linda
