About Yesterday we went on a hike to the summit of Mt. Monarch so that we could see the length and breadth of Atlin Lake. As we ascended the trail I noticed in the distance ominous lenticular clouds building signifying some strong weather heading our way in quick order. Never the less we did manage to get to the top and snap off a few good shots of the moody stuff flying towards us before running back down.

Great composition Tim, very nice colors.
And a sign of fall coming.

Beautiful capture of the colours up there, contrasting with the greens and blues, Tim!

Tim...Beautiful shot...I really love British Columbia...the scenery is unbelievable...we spent a week in Whistler B.C. last summer and had the time of our lives...wish I was there. Regards, Todd.

What a lovely place. So beautiful. Is there some standing near those trees ?

Looks as if autumn is deepening into winter rather quickly, Tim. Is that natural lighting on the autumnal colours or some judiciously applied dodging? (or perhaps a bit of both...) There seems such a strong contrast with the barely resolved shadows in the tree and bushes.

Hi Roger,
the colors here are so saturated that i dont have to add any more. plus it has been raining in this photo so the colors come even more brilliantly. i did add contrast to the sky because i felt the original photo didn't have the impact that i remembered while up there.
