How on earth did you get such a shot with only a 70mm (OK, the equivalnet of a 100mm) "reach"? You must have had your camera in a waterproof container! I find any wave higher than me terrifying and have always been impressed by surfers. Great capture!

Brilliant. My first thought was 'where the heck were you standing', so I sifted through the comments to find out. Boy, that wave looks huge! Can't believe you managed to get so close from the pier!

WOW amazing action shot. I won't ask how you took it because I know about the pier. (I read through the comments) Surely a surfing magazine would love to buy this one from you. A stunning image.
Thanks also Paul for taking the time to view and comment on my images. With regards to my Monument Valley image. I was getting to know a new camera and I think at the time my main focus was trying to stay dry as it was raining and I didn't want to get my new toy wet. I know the image isn't very clear but I'm learning with practice. Gives me an excuse to go back there again and try to take better shots next time. :)Thanks again for all your comments.
