I like the contrast between the bright colors of the women's clothing and the black and white background. Creates a nice depth. The guy "bodyguard" is just too funny... :) Andree

I can honestly say this is the first time I have seen a partially desatured image "work." Usually they just look gimmicky and unreal (to me). Maybe complete desaturation wasn't needed... those vivid colours would have triumphed anyway. But it certainly works as you have it here. The woman in green doesn't look as if she needs a bodyguard! More as if YOU did.

The bright sunlight and bust background do certainly make this a challenging image to work with ... I think you did a super job with the desaturation to enable your subjects to capture the viewer's eye.
It also further emphasizes their costumes.
